Erdington Leisure Centre

ERDINGTON LEISURE CENTRE

A new leisure facility in Erdington, the layout and massing has been carefully considered in the local setting in both terms of materials and overall scale in relation to the surrounding buildings. The stepped design enables it to respond to site contours and adjacent building massing and the internal planning allows simple and easy circulation and presents a legible easily understood design to the public.  The facilities include 25m six lane pool, training pool, wet changing village, 80 station gym, dance studio, community room, spa and members dry change.

The proposed leisure centre will provide the community with a new efficient building of high architectural quality. This new building will be identifiable as a significant new public building within the locality and as such will generate income for the area and improve the quality of life for the community. It will certainly make a positive contribution to regeneration in Birmingham.
