macclesfield mixed-use granted

old king’s head and three pigeons approved

Our planning application for a major mixed use development in Macclesfield town centre was approved at committee unanimously. The sensitive site falls within the conservation area formed by the existing medieval street pattern and historic pubs. The proposed development for Bilton Ward comprises approx. 10,000sq.ft of retail and restaurants at ground floor with approx. 30,000sq.ft of office space over.

Ewen Miller spoke eloquently at the meeting to win over the committee… he proudly walked out after securing the planning approval, much to the surprise of the Chairman who had to call him back as he failed to remember he still had to speak in favour of the conservation area application!
