innovative house types gain planning approval

We were granted planning approval for a residential development in Walkden Salford on 18th October 2007 from Salford City Council .

We were appointed by M2A to develop a residential scheme for this 1.8-hectare site only 600m from Walkden town centre.  We developed a residential scheme for 151 dwellings, incorporating a mix of apartments and 2-4 bedroom homes. 

The scheme was designed to compliment and reinforce the urban grain, creating a modern, family orientated environment in which to live. A clean modern aesthetic is a key feature of the contemporary design, which delivers a landmark scheme with a clear sense of place.  Single aspect terraces were developed as a unique architectural interpretation of the traditional vernacular. 

We also developed unique terraces with first floor access as a direct response to the site conditions. Extensive landscaping has been incorporated into the scheme, incorporating a Linear Eco Park to encourage and support a sustainable community.  Private amenity utilises raised deck areas over parking courts with extensive soft landscaping.
